SAAMI Ballistics Conference Set for Sept. 10-12
SHELTON, Conn. — The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute,® Inc., (SAAMI®), has opened registration for the 2024 Ballistics Conference, taking place September 10-12 in Salt Lake City, with Utah Governor Spencer Cox slated to give the keynote address.
The conference will feature full-day presentations on September 10 and 11 and live demonstrations at a shooting range on September 12.
“This is an important event for SAAMI, the firearm and ammunition industry, as well as test labs and government agencies.” said Joe Bartozzi, SAAMI’s President & CEO. “We’re grateful to the many sponsors who are supporting this Ballistics Conference and its educational offerings. This event is another example of SAAMI fulfilling its mission of establishing standards and providing education about the safety, reliability and interchangeability of sporting arms and ammunition by bringing together experts in materials, testing methods and equipment with their users.”
The event is for industry professionals concerned with manufacturing, performance and operations standards and will cover topics that include:

SAAMI members and non-members are welcome to attend. The attendance fee, in combination with the generous sponsorship of the presenters, will cover the conference cost, as well as lunches, coffee breaks and 1.5-hour social networking events on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

The September 12 range day will include a radar demonstration of the Infinition radar systems (both lab-scale 100-yard and long-range 1000-plus yard) presented by Barnes Bullets. Browning Arms will be offer an opportunity for attendees to test products while not engaged with the radar demonstration.
