SAAMI Welcomes AAC Ammunition, Defender Ammunition Company, Forster Products and ROAM as New Members
SHELTON, Conn.— The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute®, Inc., (SAAMI®), is pleased to announce that AAC Ammunition, Defender Ammunition Company and ROAM have joined SAAMI as Supporting members and Forster Products has joined as an Affiliated member.
AAC Ammunition is a manufacturer of ammunition and is headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina. Defender Ammunition Company is a manufacturer of ammunition and is headquartered in Raeford, North Carolina. Forster Products is a manufacturer of tooling for the firearms and ammunition industry and is headquartered in Lanark, Illinois. ROAM is a manufacture of firearms and is headquartered in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

As new Supporting and Affiliated members, these companies will have full access to SAAMI firearms and ammunition technical standards, as well as SAAMI’s reference ammunition program assessments. This status also lets their customers know they support the work SAAMI does for the entirety of the industry and the safety of participants of the shooting sports.
